So I was planning to write a continuation of studying Chapter 1 of The Rules but, in the last two weeks, I ended up landing a date with a dude. A real legit date…not the “oh we’re just hanging out as friends but secretly I’m hoping that we end up making out at some point kind of date”. I’m going on a date THIS THURSDAY with someone I wasn’t previously friends with, someone who I seem to have a lot in common with, someone who is “really looking forward to seeing me”. A traditional, by-the-books date.  And speaking of by-the-books, I now have to skip the first four chapters of The Rules and get to the “What to do on the first date” chapter.  I haven’t read it yet to be honest but I felt the need to post a quick note about what’s been going on in my life for the past two weeks because I haven’t written in a little while.
